Multicultural Movement & Ballet Education and Consultation
At Mhoon Landing, we believe in the power of movement to transcend cultural boundaries and foster inclusivity in the arts. Drawing on a lifetime of experience, Myriah Mhoon offers dance courses, education, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) consultation to ballet studios nationwide, all rooted in a rich history of classical and multicultural ballet training.
Myriah’s ballet journey began at the age of 2 and continued for nearly two decades, where she trained under renowned instructors such as Daniel Duell and Patricia Blair in the Balanchine technique. She also gained expertise in modern dance techniques like Doris Humphrey and Martha Graham, learning from Stephanie Clemens, founder of Momenta. Additionally, her time at Chicago’s Multicultural Dance Center under the guidance of the legendary Homer Bryant provided her with a deep understanding of multicultural ballet and its ability to tell diverse stories through movement.
Through Mhoon Landing and Myriah Jun Publishing, we are proud to offer a unique blend of traditional ballet techniques and multicultural perspectives. Our offerings include:
- Ballet courses and workshops designed to bring classical and multicultural techniques to dancers of all levels.
- DEI consultation for ballet studios, focusing on the importance of diversity, inclusion, and representation in ballet education and studio branding.
- Multicultural branding and design services to help ballet studios across the country incorporate culturally inclusive elements into their practices and programming.
Whether you are a dancer, a studio owner, or an arts educator, Mhoon Landing provides the knowledge, resources, and support to enrich your practice with multicultural movement and bring a broader understanding of dance and inclusion to your community.
